Don't be fooled by its name, Adventures in Writing Camp is not summer school — it's an exciting writing-focused camp packed with energy for student writers of all abilities!

Designed for kids in rising 1st through 8th-grade, Adventures in Writing Camp (AIWC) is taught by innovative, credentialed teaching professionals. Hosted online and in-person at three Northern Virginia locations (Herndon, McLean, and Leesburg), AIWC teachers recognize that no two campers are alike. Their camp curriculum and activities reflect their commitment to recognizing what makes each young writer unique.

At camp, children entering 1st grade develop story skills, while campers entering grades 2-5 publish their own eBooks, and middle school campers create their own poscast filled with technology-driven content. More than just pen to paper, camp is interactive, collaborative, and even features music and outdoor activities too!

A child who loves writing writes more frequently. A child who writes more frequently becomes a better writer. Better writers tend to love writing. It's a virtuous cycle! Join Adventures in Writing Camp this summer:
